I've come up with yet another try at fixing wchar_t in the next release.
I'm not sure exactly why you're getting those errors,
since the define of _GCC_WCHAR_T in kpathsea/config.h ought to
eliminate GCC's definition, and so X's definition ought to be
the only one.
I advise gcc -E -dD for debugging. This will show you all the macro
definitions as well as the macro-expanded output, and you can
search for wchar_t in the result and find the culprit.
